Great place to rejuvenate and chill out. Still fairly new but well-appointed, well-designed rooms make for easy relaxation at the end of a hard day. Strategic location in the middle of Tong Duy Tan (Food Street) makes it a great trip before sleeping.
Use of natural wood to interiors and locally prepared Vietnamese herbs lend a Vietnamese countryside authenticity to the whole establishment. Worth visiting.
Certainly an "Oasis for the Senses".

They're beautiful but still pretty expensive for the labor costs that they are made. If you doubt this, make a trip to the Van Phuc Village just 45 minutes from the center of Hanoi, and you will understand what I'm getting at.
Needless to say, it still would be considered "cheap" when you compare it - certainly - to UK, Australian or US prices. But isnt that the reason why the US and Europe all outsource the manufacturing of their products to low-labor costs countries like China, India and Vietnam? Definitely, it is a quilt made for the likes of gullible visiting foreign tourists.

Hi Ngumali!
Did you manage to check out or enrol in the bellydancing classes at the Sheraton? I find the Sheraton a bit far from the center of town (especially when you don't drive a bike yet), so would appreciate to know also if you found others.
I'm also interested in learning Indian dance ever since I watched that Mira Nair movie "Kama Sutra". Very graceful indeed.
Many thanks in advance!
In response to the question: Hello, I am wondering if there are any bellydance classes that might exist in Ha Noi or fellow bellydancers for that matter. I would also be ...

Hi Ngumali!
Thanks for the info. Only saw your e-mail now. I heard one lady teaching bellydance also at the Sedona Suites and tried contacting her, but they said she doesn't live there anymore.
Anyway, could you pass on the contact number of that Indian lady who teaches Indian dance? My e-mail address is on my profile.
Thanks again!
P.S: Sheraton is a little bit far from me. Maybe when I get my bike, then it will be more accessible.

Try booking online at www.hotelthailand.com. You can also view the hotels there. I've used them several times and their online transactions are quite safe -- if you have a credit card. Plus, their online rate is the cheapest so far.
If you want to splurge a bit, try checking out Burasari Hotel, a mid-range priced hotel, very stylishly designed, on Patong beach. I think their website is www.burasari.com.
In response to the question: Happy Thanksgiving to all, or at least those westerners from parts of Us and Canada, right? Anyways, I am plotting a huge vacation with my family to P...

Try shopping at Bangkok! Nok Air is offering a special introductory promotion rate at US$95 only, return with airport taxes in Hanoi and Bangkok included. You have to book at least 2-3 weeks in advance though to get that rate. You can book at their Phan Chu Trinh sales office or online at www.nokair.com.
In response to the question: Ok, I'm ashamed to say it, but all the shopping in different places has lost its fun and right now I just want to go to a mall and indulge in retail ...
