While waiting in a 3 hour line, my Vietnamese fiance was called a prostitute several times while other Vietnamese in the line laughed. Also the price for foreigners is 5 times higher than Vietnamese and they wouldn't allow her to buy 2 tickets at the Vietnamese rate.
Seriously a great legacy that he left behind for all Vietnamese to be proud of.

à propos de l'endroit: Morningstar International Kindergarten (Van Phuc)

I would warn anyone about working at this school. The director is not trustworthy and quite vindictive. There has been a huge number of teachers leaving suddenly and the school doesn't check if their teacher have had a criminal check. Given some of the high profile molestation cases of late, this is a major concern for an "international" school.

grubby is right on the money.
I had a switch for my water heater put outside my bathroom next to the light switch. I only turn it on 10 min before using the shower and then off once I am done. Also in the summer heat seems to keep the warm even without the heater.
I guess it save me about 300000 - 500000 a month on my electric bill.
I also unplug my DVD and cell phone charger when not using...along with any other appliances that I don't use alot.
If you don't have a ceiling fan I would recommend one of those also. They are fairly cheap and it will allow you to use the AC alot less and at a lower power setting, this will save some money also.
en réponse à la question: Just a quick one- Does anyone know if turning off the hot water switch at night is actually worth doing in order to save on electricity? I'm on the "b...

Around the corner from the post office there is an EMS office. You should try there as the prices are quite good and cheaper than the big names. I ship with them alot oversea's and never had any major issues.
They also have a few diffrent options for the shipping time so if your not in a hurry you can save some money.

Nothing wrong with ebay but the postal service here is a bunch of thieving bastards !! Most of the time they are to lazy to deliver it to your address so they go and make you pick it up. When you have the nerve to mention that the item was damaged by their inspection, then they get angry with you or just act dumbfounded !!

The thing is the Vietnamese don't care about the environment at all...I think one bus spits out alot more black fumes than 50 minsk's.

I find it funny that your Vietnamese friend was so concerned about what a westerner was driving, when she should be concerned about how Vietnamese DRIVE. I mean its like a war zone out there...how many people die a day just driving around here?? That seems more important than not understanding why people like one bike over another !?
We may have a "colonialist" attitude but at least we can follow the most basic driving laws, I am getting tired of seeing accidents all the time when going out...but I am sure that is some how the "colonialist" fault also

The worst part about Obama winning is all the flag waving and cheering by the same idiots that voted for Bush...Twice !!
Not that I have anything against Obama, just you would think the American's are the first country to ever hold elections...start cheering and back slapping when you fix your economy and win one of your wars going on.

I am here trying to avoid people asking stupid questions like "why are you here?"

I am not miserable at all, I find it amusing how a group of sad expats have to come on here and coddle each others nuts...
I am here because the place would be a lot more boring without me.....
