A very modern spa, [ciomfort zone] space offers a full-range of spa rituals from body, facial, epilation, manicure, pedicure. The services are really good and at reasonable price. They use 100% [comfort zone] product lines which is a spa line from Italy. 30% off on services on Tue and Thu weekly.

Cafe 129 - 129 Mai Hac De is definitely the place worth trying for the best American style pancakes. Cheers!!

I would recommend 'Tam Loan' Hair salon on 46 Trieu Viet Vuong str Tel: 943 0887. However, wait until 19th Oct when the chief stylist comes back from Spain because he is attending the World Style Contest in Barcelona and ask him to do your hair (his name is Tam). A great place to get your hair done! Prior reservation is recommended.
For the waxing and other skin services, there's a very good place named [comfort zone] space at 11 Hue str. Tel: 822 5055.Great services. Prior reservation is also recommended.

There are bunches of wi-fi cafe's around town. Go to 'So Hot' cafe No2 Nha Tho str, right next to the Cathedral on the right. you will need to ask for the place once you are there (it's in the alley). Unique decor, comfortable sofas, reasonable price for food and drinks, and free wi-fi. However, avoid the primetime when it'll be packed.
Another place might worth visitting is Highland Cafe's at Ha Noi Tower - Grand floor. Also check whether the Highland Cafe's at Pacific Building at the end of Ly Thuong Kiet str is open yet.
In response to the question: Are there free wi-fi cafe's or other wi-fi public spaces where one can enjoy free internet access from their laptop/pda? Thanks...

Go to LeChat Studio on 14A Hang Chuoi str. Tel: 971 8585. They usually have very large size that wouldn't fit Vietnamese. Or you can pick something you like and ask them to tailor it individually for you. Will post more places.

This is the easiest and cheapest way to call home, even cheaper than Skype.
Simply log onto http://ipt.spt.vn/ and download the SPF PC-phone dialer, then buy the International Snetphone card at any Internet cafes (50.000/100.000/500.000). You only need to enter the code and the password. There you go, sweet home is onyly a call away. Goodluck!
