My friends and I were putting together a trip to Cuc Phuong and was trying to book a van for a dozen of us. We were lucky enough to find Asiana. Got a 24 seat bus for a price that is significantly cheaper than all the tour agencies we found in tha old quarter. The service at Asiana was fast and easy esp for busy last minute people such as myself. So we hopped on the bus, the driver was amazingly nice, amazing trip we had. Highly recommended!

i was here today .ordered hot chocolate. it tasted hot and shockolatious.so 5 stars for that but then i got choked on a giant dose of sugar they put in it. so minus 3 stars.
the art...pretty unimpressive, which made me love their long couch and pillows even more.. cuz they were so comfy and tempting to lay down for a nap when you wanted to close ur eyes from the art. I had rice "tay cam" for lunch. The lemongrass in it made me want to attack as soon as it was served . my heart was broken a second later when i recognized i would be eating being pissed! cuz the table wasn't designed for a vietnamese like me but for some supersized "ong tay" or something jaja. the table is too far a way from the couch and the couch is too low from the table. i fell like i was in the yoga "child position" the whole time if ya know what im saying ( and if not this position is like fold ur body, face down, bum up). oh! i tried to move the couch closer. but they were nailed to the floor!i was starving. so i resumed to my lunch while trying to swallow the proverb "no gain without pain" in the most literal way.
and lots of art students around ...it'd be unethical of me to be judgmental even though negative energy liberation would be fun. so no gossip here!..BUT seriously you know those ppl who spend more times making themselves artists than actually making arts...there were a few dudes like that there that i would not mind freezing, spray painting and turning them into some installation art for the cafe shop! mm don't call me mean cuz i already know i am. oh..?EXCEPT for! the next door Art Gallery! since the cafe shared a washroom with the next door gallery, i got to to see an amazing art show called " changing phases" serendipitously! the art show made me pretty happy after all :)

okie so someone just told me after reading this review that the cafe is the fundraiser venue/biz for the gallerry next door. so i'd give it 4 stars now instead of 2 for supporting artists! great cause indeed. However, it could certainly improve to make it more Vietnamese-customers friendly since it's called Viet Art! and i just don't dig the artwork on display. but i guess they change them every once in a while too.and you could always check out the art nextdoor as well.so just go!

you should check out the hanoi music institute.i used to take sitar there and remembered they had tabla player. they normally don't advertise their classes at all and you kinda just have to show up there and ask them for the teachers, then talk to the teachers directly. Do not sign up for class though cuz they are often shitty. one to one lesson is a lot better.
In response to the question: Hi there. I'm seeking a skilled Tabla player for tuition. I currently play Congas in a Hanoian band, but I'm looking to expand my percussive horizons....
