Are you meaning Private investigator (P.I) ? As in Tom Selleck, Magnum P.I ?

If so, i am also curious how he manages to find work. The Vietnamese i know, seem to know everything about everyone, some times even before they happen.

On a serious note, i'd be careful, if there are people in this line of work, they will have been police or still are, and will definately move in the murkier side of Hanoi.

Do you want a quasi-legal 'P.I.' ... or a not-so-legal 'P.I.'?


For quasi-legal P.I., ask a Vietnamese friend with police connections.

For a not so legal P.I., ask one of the toutdrug dealers in the old quarter.

... or so I've heard.
