Graham Sutcliffe (was the main conductor ot the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra - now full time at British Coucil on Cat Linh Street - I think #40) tried to get an amateur orchestra together last year. A small quartet blossomed. You might try contacting him to see if it will happen again. Mostly classical though.
