Online TEFL a good start but depends where you want to teach and for how much money.Other courses available but take time and of course charge. Housing you can look at online but costs are high in inner Hanoi.Possibly best to find out background before and then choose here. House rent US$500 per month up to $2000 for serviced large appt. I have company flat but many options available.Jobs Up to you. Local hire is lower pay ($70 per dayKindergarten teacher/minder) Try Kinder World if you like 3 year olds. They are often in need of people esp if you will stay for a year) If you can get jobs with company before will pay better but may not be applicable. Have fun

My advice is no. Arrange work and housing once you are here, and make sure you have enough money to last you a couple of months. Don't make the mistake of taking up offers of accommodation or work which aren't right for you. You can book a guesthouse for your arrival and stay until you get oriented; this should cost you the equivalent of paying rent. Research TNH for your options there. Rent varies a lot - it depends. You may find a decent share arrangement for around $200 - $250 a month, and in some cases, even less. Regarding qualifications, you will be better placed if you have a university degree in any discipline, and reputable schools will specify that your TESOL or CELTA should have a practical and/or classroom component, whereas others won't care. Again, it depends. It's best to talk to a lot of different people and do your research! All the best!
