nictoine help

good buddy (not me - really!) is trying to quit smoking and I am fully behind him. But he's pretty much unbearable without his daily fix and the rest of us have started wearing our mu bao hiem whenever he's around the house. So that my head can enjoy the fall air (plus my friend will be welcome at social events again), does anyone know if nicotine patches or other smoking cessation aids are available? I could order from back home, but that might take a month and frankly I might be minus a friend by then. Thanks a lot for any and all assistance!

I haven't seen any here. Unless someone is going to BKK you SOL. Why not get him to try acupuncture?

Your mate doesn't actually smoke. The cigarette does all the smoking, he's just the sucker!

this is how i was born.

You should send him to Dr. Tran Huong, she does accupuncture for aid in dealing with addictions. It will ease him into this DRASTIC change in his life, and aid in CALMING him when the cravings set in. Like anything else, it's quite a difficult road and takes time and patience, and supportive friends.

Write me a personal message for Tran Huong's contact details, as I don't want to post her phone number on here.

hello, i think you can find nicotine patches at the pharmacy at No1 Trang Thi street, near the intersection between Ba Trieu and Trang Thi. I took my tourists there once when she needed them and we found those stuffs there. Good luck!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the answers. We went to Trang Thi this morning and found the patches - although I was surprised they are about 5 bucks each (I'm told it's not much less back home without a coupon). If that doesn't work, bethany, I'll be in touch about Tran Huong - many thanks again!
